Privacy Policy — Ontanagio VR

Last updated: 2026-06-11

This policy describes how the Ontanagio VR application (the "App") for Meta Quest headsets handles information. We've kept it short on purpose — the App collects almost nothing.

What the App does

Ontanagio VR plays a live 360° video stream from a private streaming server operated by Ontanagio. The App connects to that server over HTTPS, fetches the video stream, and renders it immersively in the Meta Quest headset.

Information we do not collect

Information that is necessarily exchanged

In order for the App to fetch the live video stream, it makes HTTPS requests to ontanagio.com. Like any standard internet request, these include your device's IP address. Server logs may temporarily retain IP addresses and request timestamps for operational and security purposes (debugging, abuse mitigation), and are purged within 30 days. We do not use these logs to build user profiles or share them with third parties.

Children's privacy

Ontanagio VR is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. Since the App collects no personal data from anyone, this is effectively automatic.

Third-party services

The App uses the AVPro Video plugin (RenderHeads Ltd.) for video playback. AVPro itself does not transmit data to RenderHeads. The streaming server uses MediaMTX (open source) for protocol handling.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
